To equip individuals to fill these crucial positions, Canadian Flyers International has developed a specialized course of study that provides thorough training for the aircraft dispatcher, including preparation for Transport Canada certification exams and recurrent training for licensed dispatchers looking to sharpen their skills.

 

Canadian Flyers International offers courses covering all required areas of knowledge – Transport Canada regulations (for Indian Students DGCA regulations), meteorology, navigation, aerodynamics, communications, air traffic control, and practical dispatching. Courses are offered through our Pearson Airport facilities (Toronto Ontario , Canada).

 

Initial Courses

 

Canadian Flyers International Aircraft Dispatch Course provides thorough preparation for the required Transport Canada certification exams. The standard initial course consists of 160 hours of classroom training, completed on a full-time basis. This training lasts for a duration of 2 weeks.

 

This training enhances the student dispatchers understanding of the course content, and facilitates the consolidation of knowledge of navigation and aircraft performance.

 

A background in aviation is considered an asset, by the industry (but not required).

A flight dispatcher plays a pivotal role in the aviation industry in Canada . As an employee of an airline, the flight dispatcher has overall responsibility for flight planning and air safety. With few and very limited exceptions, aircraft belonging to an airline, carrying passengers and operating from a Canadian airport may not depart without the consent of the flight dispatcher. All flight dispatchers must have passed the generic Transport Canada Flight Dispatcher Examination before being permitted to work in flight operations.

 

Staff:

 

Dario Matrundola is the originator of the Flight Dispatch Program offered by Canadian Flyers. Dario is a licensed commercial pilot with 25 years of experience in both the flight training and aviation management fields. He is a Class 1 Chief Flight Instructor and a designated flight test examiner. He was involved in the training of the Canadian Astronauts and has more than 6,000 hours of flight experience. Dario is also a Chief Pilot for Canadian Flyers International.

 

Dates, Times and Locations:

 

Toronto Pearson Airport -specific classroom information will be provided at the time of registration. The classes are from 8:30 - 5pm.

Course Cost:

 

Registration Fee: $1,800 (includes GST). The registration fee includes all required textbooks and course materials

 

Quick Facts

Keep in mind, Canadian Flyers International provide a "Block Time" rates. Block rates with a 5% discount (plane only) are given once a customer has put a minimum of $2,000 CAD on their account. Bringing your plane (Cessna 172's) per hour down to $152 (CYTZ) and $128 (CNU8) respectively.
